About Yaweh Crochet

A ministry made by hand

Yaweh Crochet is a faith-inspired nonprofit fiber arts organization dedicated to serving others through crochet, knitting, creativity, education, and compassionate community outreach.

Our story

Yaweh Crochet began with a simple conviction: that something made by hand carries something a machine never can — time, thought, and love. What started as a handful of makers with hooks and hearts for service has grown into a community of fiber artists creating comfort for neighbors near and far.

Today our volunteers and students crochet and knit for veterans and their families, people experiencing homelessness, hospital and chemotherapy patients, newborns, the sick and shut-in, and anyone walking through a difficult season. Along the way, we teach — passing the craft to children, teens, and adults, and watching confidence and community grow one stitch at a time.

Our handmade creations are made with purpose. We do not operate primarily as a custom-order crochet business — our artists create from inspiration, and selected pieces may be offered to help fund the mission.

Mission

To use handmade fiber arts to bring warmth, dignity, comfort, encouragement, and hope to people in need.

Vision

A community where creativity and compassion meet — where every handmade piece reminds someone they are seen, valued, and loved.

Our Values

Our guiding spirit

01

Faith

Our work flows from a guiding spirit of faith and trust in something greater than ourselves.

02

Service

We make for others first — comfort, dignity, and hope are the true measure of every piece.

03

Creativity

Fiber arts unlock imagination and self-expression in makers of every age.

04

Compassion

We show up for people in hard seasons with gentleness, presence, and prayerful care.

05

Love

Love is stitched into every row — it is the thread that holds this ministry together.

Made With Purpose

We create from inspiration

Yaweh Crochet is a mission first — not a custom-order crochet business. Our fiber artists are encouraged to create from inspiration, and selected completed pieces may be made available for purchase. Proceeds help support our charitable mission, supplies, educational programs, and future outreach projects.
